Telling Time

This week in math, we are working on telling time.  Students should be able to tell and write the time shown on digital and analog clocks.  Students should also be able to use words like "quarter to, quarter past, and half past" to describe the time.  Also, be sure your child understands that the hour hands gradually moves closer to the next hour as the minute hand moves around the clock.  If the hour hand has not gotten to the next number yet, remind your child to go back to the previous number.  This is often where students make mistakes when telling time.  Here are some resources to help your child practice these skills at home.
